Pharmaceutical tablet compression punches and dies

Tablets are manufactured by compressing a formulation having a drug or drugs with excipients on stamping machine which are called tablet press or tablet compression machine. The machine is a critical element of producing oral solid dosage formulations. To form a tablet, a formulation having a drug is evaluated into a cavity created by punches and dies. After this, punches are pressed together with great pressure to fuse the matter together. A tablet’s tensile strength controls drugs bioavailability and clinical effect, which are critical for any dosage form.
